Richard Todd Jackson's love for the breed of Chow Chow started while he was a freshman in college. Growing up in south Florida, he and his family owned Dachshunds, a Samoyed and even a Saint Bernard. While in college, Mr. Jackson began working as a part-time Kennel Assistant. Unbeknownst to him, he joined the staff of the famous Tsang-Po Kennels, Reg. a kennel world-renowned for its Chow Chows. Then, like any good educational program, Mr. Jackson moved on into higher learning: conditioning, grooming, understanding soundness, movement, and the essence of a Chow Chow. To date, he successfully piloted over 50 dogs to Championships and Grand Championships.
As in all endeavors, he sought to properly prepare himself with a solid foundation. To fully understand structure, form, function, and breed type. As he took the natural progression into judging, his goal continues to be a well-rounded adjudicator of the breeds that he judges. Today, he continues to be an active member of his local and national Judges Association, the Southern Maryland Kennel Club, The Mid-Atlantic Non-Sporting Club, three other breed clubs, as well as a Stewards Association. Though Chow Chows hold a special place in Mr. Jackson's heart, you should note that he and his husband also breed, own and handle Group-winning Basset Hounds, Tibetan Spaniels and the latest addition to the family, a Biewer Terrier. Mr. Jackson's participation in the sport of pure-bred dogs even extends to serving as Show Chair and overseeing numerous show committees.
As Mr. Jackson adds judging to his 30+ years in dogs, his eye for a dog, professionalism, kindness to exhibitors and reputation for always being a "well-dressed" gentleman has led to frequent judging assignments throughout the United States and abroad. He is approved to judge Best In Show, the Non-Sporting Group, several Sporting, Hound, Terrier and Toy breeds. Additionally, Mr. Jackson enjoys judging Open Shows and his favorite Junior Showmanship.
Mr. Jackson works as an Asset Manager and real estate developer. For over 25 years he and his company have provided affordable housing to the Mid-Atlantic with a focus on seniors and military families.

My name is Terry Dennison, I have had dogs my whole life. I got my first show dog in 1979, an Old English sheep dog named Buffy. I started in obedience but quickly learned I wanted to compete in conformation. I have shown and bred Tibetan Terriers, Afghans, Havanese, Dobermans and PBGV’s. I let my children have the breeds they wanted so I’ve shown Poms, Bernese Mt. Dogs, Newfy and a Rottweiler. In my younger days I showed many other breeds for people. I am currently the President of my local kennel club, Cook Inlet kennel club and the Toy dog club of Alaska. I’m a board member of my local Hound club and the Vice President of the Havanese club of America. I currently judge 36 breeds, closing in on the Herding group. I compete in Obedience, Rally, Agility, CATS, Fast Cats and Farm dog. I love everything dogs and love attending dog shows either showing my own dogs or judging or just watching and learning about other breeds.

While dogs have been a part of my life since I was young my first CD was in 1995 with a rescue Irish Setter named Flanigan. Flanigan went on to earn a CDX, compete in Utility and spent several years as a therapy dog. My first UD was with a rescue Chihuahua named George who was also my first Agility dog. MACHs and several UDXs later I still very much enjoy trialing in both Agility and Obedience. Currently competing is my rescue mix breed, Kate and my Icelandic Sheepdog, Yonder. Home is Franktown, Colorado where in addition to our own dogs my husband Eric and I share our lives with foster Papillons for Pap Haven Rescue, a few house cats and several chickens.
I started judging Obedience in 2004 and Agility in 2008. I thoroughly enjoy meeting new people and their dogs around the country. To witness and share in the heart and depth of the relationships we share with our performance dogs is truly special. I feel very fortunate to be a part of the dog world both with my own and as a judge.
It is an honor to be judging Obedience at the 2024 Tibetan Terrier Club Of America National Specialty; I wish all good luck, safe travels and a wonderful time!
Tibetan Terrier National Sweepstakes Judge
Wendy A Corr
I am a medical person by trade and have always had pure bred dogs since childhood. I appreciate that this breed has a purpose and a descriptive history that is reflected in the Standard. This provides me with a blueprint for my Sweepstakes judging and when examining the breed I can note the Hallmark characteristics of the Tibetan Terrier.
Since I have owned and shown dogs for 50 years, and have double coated dogs, I am used to feeling through layers of coat to locate the structure and assess according to the Standard.
I am excited and look forward to the opportunity to judge your National Sweepstakes.
